The infopad... imagine a device that would replace your pen and paper, and your newspaper, and your desktop, and your post-it's and your magazines and... on and on and on... THAT would be cool, at least that is what I think...
This project started when I by accident read this OLD blogpost: http://mobileopportunity.blogspot.com/2006/05/desperately-seeking-info-pad.html
My mind is always spinning, I have shelves upon shelves with ideas, I have papers in piles everywhere, and my desk looks like the Grand Canyon. On top of this I have two screens to my computer with loads and loads of icons on my desktop and folders upon folders with data. I have installed Google Desktop, so it is searchable of some sort but what about all my papers? And what about STRUCTURE!!!!
Anyways, in short I am trying to build an application to solve MY problems, if you share my problems join in and send me an email, if you know Java and or Flash and or ASP and or have an artistic vein that would be great. To get in contact with me send me a mail at my gmail account, so write kristian.borgstedt and then the @ followed by gmail.com...
Below are some of my "progress" so far...
This page shows how to dynamically create a form to add text at that location. It only shows how to add, it doesnt show the text added.
This page shows the text added. I am working on putting these two java functions on the same page, but since I am no Javaprogrammer, it is SLOOOOW work...
This page demonstrates how to draw freehand on the page.

News: Proof of concept I have created a lightning fast way to add notes to a noteslist, a note-to-self kind of list, instead of using notepad or emailing yourself a note. If you use chrome, make a custom search, use any letter (in my case N) and point the search to this url: http://www.theinfopad.com/addnote.asp?note=%s The %s is the search term, which instead of a search becomes a note that is added to your notes list. The noteslist can be found here: http://www.theinfopad.com/listmynotes.asp. Let me know if it works well or not.
Here is another nice article about MANY online notetaking apps, if you feel you cant wait for me to come up with the ultimate notetaking/keeping thingie:
